Submittal may be made by any Woodwork Institute Accredited Millwork Company or employee, and the project must be either Certified or Monitored Compliant. Application must be filled out completely, signed by a representative of the recipient company, accompanied by six digital high-resolution (300 dpi) color prints of the project copied onto a CD or flash drive.
Projects will be recognized for their superior craftsmanship. The project that is granted the Ralph B. McClure Craftsmanship Award will receive a plaque and coverage in woodworking industry publications; any runners-up will receive a framed Craftsmanship Certificate of Recognition and a free half-page advertisement allowance in the Woodwork Institute’s bi-annual publication, Archetype. Winning and any runners-up projects will be highlighted in Archetype magazine.
Award-winning entries become the property of the Woodwork Institute for unrestricted use. The Woodwork Institute assumes no responsibility for loss of or damage to materials submitted. Entries will be judged for acceptance by the Institute’s local Director of Architectural Services. If accepted, recognition will be given on the Woodwork Institute website.
All accepted entries will compete for the finalist level shortly after the annual application cutoff date of April 30 each year.
