The CMIP Exam is designed to ensure that you have the requisite knowledge to be a Certified Millwork Installation Professional and, as an open book examination, to assist you in becoming familiar with the abundance of information in the North American Architectural Woodwork Standards and the Woodwork Institute’s Programs & Services Manual. This exam is for professionals seeking one of the installation licenses and does not include fabrication licenses.
To become a Certified Millwork Installation Professional for an Accredited Millwork Installation Company, you must pass the exam with an 85% or better score.
A few notes before you begin:
- The exam consists of a set of 140 randomly drawn questions.
- The order of the available answers to each question is randomized.
- You do not have to take the exam in one sitting. You can click the “Save” button to save your work and return later to work on the exam further. You will see a message verifying that your work has been saved.
- To flag a question for review prior to test submission, click the exclamation point. You will be prompted to review the flagged questions before you submit the exam.
- When your exam is submitted, you will see your results. You will also receive an email with your results, and your results will be emailed to the Woodwork Institute.
