Woodwork Institute’s Monitored Compliance Program™ (MCP) expands upon the Certified Compliance Program™ by providing ongoing reviews, inspections, and certification of a project by a Woodwork Institute Architectural Services Representative from start to finish. Established in 2001, the Monitored Compliance Program™ is a discipline of quality control.

Benefits
Benefits for Design Professionals and Property Owners:
- MCP monitors the fabrication process, from submittal review, through production, and after installation, to ensure compliance to the specification.
- Monitoring ensures the fabricated product and/or installation will comply with the Grade(s) specified.
- The Woodwork Institute Architectural Services Representative will compare the specifications and architectural drawings, inspect the shop, site, and installation, and submit a written report for each inspection.
- During the shop inspection, the product and materials are checked.
- The job site inspection ensures the conditions meet the North American Architectural Woodwork Standard.

To request MCP certification, insert this language into the Part 1 — Quality Affirmation section of the millwork specifications:
PART 1 — QUALITY AFFIRMATION
A. Monitored Compliance
- All millwork and the installation thereof for this project shall be monitored for compliance to the contract documents by a Woodwork Institute Architectural Services Representative. Full participation of the Woodwork Institute Monitored Compliance Program™ may be found at the Institute’s website at www.woodworkinstitute.com or by calling the Administrative Office at 916-372-9943.
- Millwork and/or installation found to be non-compliant (and not corrected) will be rejected.
- Issuance of a Monitored Compliance Certificate is a prerequisite of acceptance.
- All fees charged by the Woodwork Institute for its Monitored Compliance Program™ are the responsibility of the millwork manufacturer and/or installer and shall be included in their bid.
