PRODUCT ACKNOWLEDGMENT provides review of products including hardware and sheet products to assure conformance to the appropriate minimum requirements of the North American Architectural
Woodwork Standards.
In compliance with the Acknowledged Product Program, I declare that the locks, pulls, shelf rests, hanger rods,
flanges, and/or sliding door tracks:
• Do conform to ANSI/BHMA standards (builderhardware.com) minimum Grade 2 requirements
• Have the material supplier’s name or unique brand marking stamped on hinges, slides, and locks for
identification purposes.
• Are of first-class workmanship, free of manufacturing imperfections (such as tool or machine marks), and
consistent in exposed finish appearance,
• At shelf rests for bored holes, either include a minimum of 0.1969” (5.0mm) metal pin or double 0.1969”
(5.0mm) plastic pins (meeting ANSI/BHMA latest edition Grade 1 requirements) and meet or exceed these
standards’ maximum shelf load requirement of 200 lbs. (91kg.), except, softwood veneer core requires
single pins with shoulder or double pin shelf rests.
• For hangar rods require hardwood, a minimum of 1 ¼” (31.8mm) in diameter or metal, a minimum of 1
1/16” (27.0mm)
as required by the North American Architectural Woodwork Standards, latest edition, hardware
requirements (Section 10, Casework, subsections 10.5.1, 10.5.1.5, 10.5.1.6, 10.5.1.9 and 10.6.19)
